Don’t Miss God’s Blessings

If we do not make celebrations part of our life, we miss blessings from God.  Unimaginable blessings.  Because you did His work, He wants to look upon you with peace and bless the accomplishments you did in His name.

 Philippians 4:4

Rejoice in the Lord always.  Again I will say, rejoice!

Celebration 101

I was working on a chapter in my book talking about how to celebrate the wins, and spending time with the people who make your events a success. Richard Branson does it every time he takes over a new business. He’s been known to have rooftop parties with all the employees.

So what does all this mean? This is an excerpt from my written thoughts about the benefit of celebrating wins.

Evil spirits cannot stand merriment, happiness, fellowship, or joy.

When we celebrate, evil spirits take a holiday.

I love to send them on a holiday. It makes things feel like heaven on earth.

What do you think about celebrating wins?

Defeating the Spirit of Amalek

Just because God delivered His people didn’t mean they were out of the woods. After they crossed the Red Sea they were confronted by many nations who were their enemy. And that is what happens with us, especially after we become Christians. We’re thinking we’re on easy street now and instead it seems like we are pursued by every nation on earth. The Amalekites did not like the Israelites and were bent on killing, stealing and causing spiritual doubt among them. Kind of like what happens in our lives as Christians.

Love and Family

This is the third installment of our Love series.  Family is what I feel, as a participant in this world, is so very important to all of us.  We’ve talked about Love and now it’s time to talk about what we do with that love.  We should perpetuate not only our love, but our love for God, our love for each other and our love for ourselves.

What To Do In Times of Trouble

The guest pastor at Martinwood Christian Church this weekend was Pastor David Davison. David graduated from Martinwood’s Pastor’s Class in 2022. His sermon is “What To Do In Times of Trouble”. Pastor David speaks from a position of experience. He has an answer for those times when we get knocked down and aren’t sure what to do next.

Love Thyself as I Have Loved You

God is the Word. That’s how we find out what he wants us to do and how to love ourselves. The better our relationship with our Lord, the more we’ll want to do for Him and love someone else per the last chapter, then the more we will love ourselves in the process, but where does it start? Where does loving yourself start? It starts with you. It starts in the beginning. It starts with the Word. The Word of God. Let go to the first book of John, the very first verse.… In the beginning; at John 1:1.
