The same thing happens with Social Media, If you are an internet marketer or you own a businesss utilizing Social Media services, you want to be able to see production. You’ll want to know
1. What are the numbers?
2. What are the numbers doing?
3. What makes them do what they do?
The first thing is what are the numbers. What I mean is what do you expect the numbers to tell you? When you know what you want them to tell you (total hits, conversions, interest in a particular subject, etc.) you can put metrics on the numbers to derive the information you need to be successful. Understanding what you need metrics for will depend on what you and/or your client is looking for.
